The Greyhound Inn is a lovely country pub nestled in the small village of Burgh By Sands 6 miles west of Carlisle City Centre. Great food, Great beer and a warm welcome are what makes the Greyhound the heart of the community.

There is also a statue of Edward the 1st who died in Burgh By Sands in 1307 and there is a monument in Burgh at the actual place he died. Edward was also known as Edward Long Shanks for his long legs who was son of Henry the third.
